Wrap Around

Last month was my friend and upline's birthday. I love making presents for my friends and family, it's like you are giving a little piece of you. I made Linda this cute little project called a Wrap Around designed by Lauren Meader for Papertrey Ink. It is a handy project too, she can record peoples birthday in it so that she can be on top of her card giving (mmmm, maybe I need one too).

I borrowed the Fifth Ave Floral stamp set to create this and have decided that I NEEEED that set. So I am hoping to earn it for free by the end of this month (SU is so good at promos to give you things for free - gotta love free!) You too can earn stuff for free by holding a workshop, just contact me if you are interested.
Bye for now,
Alex

Whoooo's a Cutie?

A couple of weeks ago I held a class on chipboard. We inked, glued, coloured and glittered a bunch of Stampin' Up Chipboard shapes (my kitchen floor was very sparkly by the end of the night).

Here is a scrapbook page where I used the branch and owl from the On Board So Tweet set:

I got inspiration for the owl from somewhere on my blogging searches and would love to give credit, but my brain won't seem to retain anything at the moment. He wasn't my idea but I love him anyway.

And here is a card we created with the chipboard pear.
We ran it through the Cuttlebug with an embossing folder to create the polka dots.

We got good news today, it seems that our new house has a few little building issues but nothing major. Yay! Just need a plumbers report on Monday and everything hopefully will be a 'GO'. I cannot wait to get my family into our new property.

Thanks for stopping by,
Alex

I'm Back

Phew.....the last couple of weeks have been a whirl wind of stress and house inspections. But I think the search is nearly at an end. We have found a house, had our offer accepted and as long as it isn't about to fall down upon building inspection.......we should be moving in within three weeks. Yay!!!!!!

I realise that it has been a little while since I posted anything here, so I wanted to share with you pic's from my last class I held in my studio last week. We had a great night and everyone went home with a little chipboard booklet to decorate. Here is mine:
I used the Bella Rose papers, which are one of my favourite packs this year.
This is me when I was a Bubba. Arn't I cute!?!?

We used the Bind-it-All to put the book all together.
I will be holding this class again when I get settled in my new home, so if you like this little book and want one of your own then keep an eye on my blog here for new classes coming up.

Will be back with more soon.
Thanks for stopping by.

Love this quote.......

I found it on Ali Edwards blog and it really speaks to me just now.

Your time is limited, don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma, which is living the result of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of other's opinion drown out your own inner voice. Most imporant, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition, they somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary. ~ Steve Jobs

Think about it, it is so true.

Will share some more craft soon. We have sold our house and are in the process of trying to find something to live in (either buy or rent). Time is running out, so crafting has taken a back seat at the moment. Must find a new nest for my little family!

Thanks for stopping by, and remember to listen to your own inner voice and forget the noise!

Bye,
Alex
