Simply Scrappin' Kit

I have had a huge week this week at our kids school. It was the 80th Birthday for the school and I was on the committee for it's celebrations. We had a great Open Day yesterday and a luncheon today for all the past students and it has been very busy.

So now that it is all over, I delight in getting some 'me' time to scrap tonight. I decided to play again with the 'Round Up' Simply Scrappin' Kit and scrapped some photos that I took earlier in the year. We had a great day out at Long Jetty and of course I played with my camera the whole day.
I really like using the Simply Scrappin' Kits. I was struggling tonight with my other scrapbooking supplies and ended up putting them away out of frustration. I decided to pull out my Stampin' Up goodies and these two pages came together so fast. It helps so much when you get a whole bunch of great products that MATCH! It takes alot of the hard work out of the planning. It leaves you free to be creative, knowing that it will all go together. I like that!

Happy Friday everyone!

So Swirly!

Love this wheel! On this scrapbooking page I have used the So Swirly Stampin' Around wheel with the large flower from the 'Scribble This' stamp set. Cherish is from the 'Baroque Motifs' set. And I also love the jumbo eyelets, I seem to be using them on everything lately.

Le Jardin

Just a quick post tonight.

I made a couple of vintage style cards this weekend using the 'Le Jardin' Designer Paper and just wanted to share.

On this next one I used the 'Scribble' Stampin' Around Wheel and embossed the image to give the side panel some texture. You can see it in the detailed photo.Have a great week!

Little boxes.....

on a hill side!

Only kidding. I wanted to share with you the boxes we covered at the Idea Book & Catalogue Night on Monday. We used the Palette o' Prints papers and my favourite tool, the Scallop Punch.

I was lucky enough to find a delicious coconut soap to fit perfectly inside my little box.
Handmade gifts are just the best don't you think?

Toot Your Own Horn....every once in a while!

I am sooo excited about this little surprise I have for you. Over the last year I have spent a great deal of time on this here computer. It provides me with fabulous inspiration and I have enjoyed and learnt a whole lot from video tutorials on other people's blogs. So when I joined Stampin' Up and began this 'blog journey', I have had it in the back of my mind that I would love to provide my customers with these sorts of tutorials.

TA DA!! Today I fiddled and played and figured out just how to do it. YAY! I am a little bit proud of myself, I must say. Now, please be kind....it is amateur and I need some (read 'A LOT') of practice but I do hope (and feel) that these video tutorials will help you in your paper crafting journey.

The first video I prepared covers the Stampin' Up Heat & Stick Powder and the Dazzling Diamonds glitter. This is one of my favourite techniques and I know quite a few of you have purchased these items just recently. I DO NOT WANT THEM TO SIT IN YOUR CUPBOARD GATHERING DUST! Now you will have this reference to come back to whenever you feel the need to 'glitter' something. I hope you enjoy and please feel free to leave any comments (please be kind though! LOL!)

Little user hint: Pause the video while it completely downloads and it will play a lot smoother.

All products used are Stampin' Up products. If you are interested in purchasing anything you have seen or would like to learn first hand how to do this technique, please do not hesitate to contact me at scrapalley@aapt.net.au. I am only too happy to help.

Mothers Day & You're Invited

Mother's Day is approaching fast and I have been laying the hints all around. Have you? I have been teaching a three year old to go around muttering 'Pandora Bracelet' (hee hee!). Only thing is that he doesn't pronounce it very well!

This delightful Mother's Day card uses some of the New Designer Series paper from the pack called 'Le Jardin'. All the Designer Series paper is double sided this year, so very versatile. I have also used the Pretties Kit and coloured the flowers with So Saffron Pastels. The stamp comes from the Occasional Greetings set which is so useful - it has stamps for Birthday, Father's Day, Easter and more. This is on my 'GIS' list - that's my GET IT SOON list!!

Simply Scrappin' Kits

Got my hot little hands on some Simply Scrappin' kits over the last week and created a couple of pages I want to share.

This one uses the Round Up Kit.And this one uses the Secret Garden kit.

They made is so easy to create the pages and there are heaps of elements in each pack (in fact, a friend and I halved each pack for better value and more variety!).

Gorgeous Glitter

Just wanted to share this card with you. I am doing a workshop tonight using 'Dazzling Diamonds' with this card cased from another fabulous SU demonstrator Kerri Hunter and added the glitter to the centres of the small flowers and the brad.
Then I wanted to show how you could 'Step-it-Up' with even more Dazzling Diamonds and the Pretties Kit. I have used the soft sky ink pad to stamp and colour the flower (therefore it all coordinates perfectly!)
And a close up of that gorgeous flower and flat-backed pearl. If you want more information on the Pretties Kit or Dazzling Diamonds, please do not hesitate to contact me.
