For You

Wanted to share with you a card I made for one of my Stamp Club girls.
This again uses goodies from the current mini catalogue.  Ginger Blossom paper (isn't that a gorgeous name?) and Say It With Scallops stamp set along with the Square Scallop punch.  In the background I have embossed Baroque Motifs swirl stamp with clear embossing powder.  Very Vanilla ribbon added to complete.

Bye the way, keep your eye out here for my next ribbon share.......it will be coming up soon.

Stamp Class for February

That's right!  I am getting myself into gear and have planned my first class for 2009.

Where:  My place
When:  Tuesday 17th February
Time:  7.30pm-9.30pm
Cost:  $15

The theme of the class is 'Ink, Spray & Smash'.  Mmmm, interesting name huh!  It's an interesting technique too.  Easy and effective - just the way I like them.

Here is a sample of the cards you can make on the night:

So let me know by email at scrapalley@aapt.net.au if you would like to book in and I will let you know my address if you don't know it already.  I am looking forward to getting back into classes and workshops again.  I love this job!!

Bye for now,
Alex

Thank you for Blog Award

Thanks so much Fiona.
Thank you for following my blog Fiona (it's nice to know you are out there - Hi!) and for awarding me the Marie Antoinette blogging award.  How exciting!  Fiona's new blog can be found here.

Now the rules are that I have to show the award (tick), link to the person who awarded it (tick) and award it to 7 other deserving bloggers.  Mmmmm, so many I love how do I narrow it down?

1.  Well, because this is a Marie Antoinette award I have to show you Natasha's blog because it is so relevent to what she loves.  Lots of pretties to look at here.

2.  And this blog I check EVERY day.  I am so inspired by Melissa Phillips and just love her style.  Yummy shabby chic style scrapping and card making.

3.  I also love this blog, although I can't understand a word she writes (lol).  I love her shabby chic style also.

4.  Love Hilary Kanwischer's scrapping style.  Seem to be visiting here alot lately.

5.  Janelle Wind......scrapbooking and quilting all in one.  Mmmmmm.  Her quilting designs are great eye candy for me (who no longer seems to sew anything!) and I love her scrapping style.

6.  I have just recently found this blog and it sure does inspire me to scrap more.  Be  sure to take a look at Nics Nook.

7.  And lastly, not a blog but a site that I visit regularly and tell all my friends and customers about it all the time.  Split Coast Stampers.  Gotta be the best place for ideas, tutorials etc.

Go and take a peek at the above talented people.  I seem to draw inspiration from so many places here on the web and these are at the top of my list at the moment.  Very addicted I am!!  I'm sure you know what I mean!?!?

Here is another card I have created from the mini catalogue to finish up with.

Bali Breeze

I love summer holidays.  Sunshine, swimming, lazy days, social meetings and most importantly no 9-3 schedule.  I really enjoy not having to be somewhere everyday at 2.45pm.  (I also enjoy staying in my PJ's till all hours of the morning too, don't you?)

The Bali Breeze papers are so fresh and bright, not usually my style but I just love these colours together.
This card features the flower cut from a sheet of DSP with felt flower accents in the middle.  Of course a bit of bling from the Pretties kit to finish it off.  The stamps used are from three different sets (the table was a mess of stamps creating this!) - Friendly Flowers, Eastern Blooms and So Many Sayings.  And of course I have used twill and the scallop edge punch.

I hope to create a little more today while the kids amuse themselves with new games we got yesterday.  And tonight I have my team meeting with my downlines.  I love hanging out with other Stampin' Up fanatics, makes me happy!

Check back tomorrow and I should have something else to share.

Bye,
Alex

Eastern Blooms

  • Been having some fun making sample cards this last week and I will share them all with you over the next couple of days.  This card uses Eastern Blooms from the Summer mini catalogue.
I have used my favourite glitter, Dazzling Diamonds, in the centre of the flowers for some sparkle.Hope you are having a good weekend.

Felt Flowers

Have you seen the felt flowers in the Summer Mini Catalogue.  They are really cute but today I decided they needed 'a little somethin'.  Turn your felt flowers from this:
into this:
Simply ink up your background stamp (or any other patterned stamp you like) with Staz On ink and stamp away.  Gives them a bit more depth don't you think?
Thanks for checking in,

Ribbon Share

I just LOVE the new Double-Stitched ribbon in our Summer Mini Catalogue and thought that a Ribbon Share would be a good idea.  This card shows the width of the ribbon (2.5cm) in Chocolate Chip:
A ribbon share is where you will receive a third of each colour available (chocolate chip, bashful blue & rose red) for the price of one roll.  Each roll has approx. 9.1m, so that means you will receive approx. 3 metres of each colour - perfect for cards and scrapbooking.

Let me know if you would like to join the ribbon share by emailing me at scrapalley@aapt.net.au.  The cost for the share is $20.00 (which means postage is only 5c!) and you can pay by direct deposit or cash upon delivery.  This ribbon is only available for a short time so try it out now, you never know you may LOVE it too and need more!

Bye,
Alex
