Published

I always get so excited when I open a magazine and see my work in there.  Here is my contribution  to the newest Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft magazine.

These stamps are not SU but I just love them.  I bought these stamps last year when we went on a trip to Bowral from a very cute little shop called My Place.

And the chipboard shapes on the cards were a present from a special friend for Christmas.  She knows me well obviously!  Thanks Debbie.

Hostess Gift

Thought I would share a picture of one of my Hostess Gifts.  It is a covered note pad for her to use. (Hi Sharyn - hope you liked it!)

Love, love, love the Bella Rose papers.  They are just gorgeous.  And 'Live with Passion' comes from the Inspired by Nature set.

And this one uses an old favourite......the Weathered Background stamp.  The papers used here are from the Raspberry Tart set (great name huh!?)

Thanks for stopping by,
Alex

Have a Fabulous Day!!!!

Happy Mothers Day to all my wonderful friends and customers.  I hope you all have a fabulous day and that you get spoilt.

I have started the morning by doing my job.........yep, a sick little boy to look after.  But on top of that I have been spoilt with lots of gifts from the school Mothers Day Stall, a Singstar (love a bit of closet karaoke) and been dished up a gorgeous breakfast of croissants and fresh fruit.  My Mum is along side me enjoying it too.

Here is the card I made for Mum:
We made this in the Mothers Day class last week.   The flower is called a Dahlia Fold Flower and is quite easy to create once you get the hang of the fold.
The flower pops out for you to write on the card.
I also made her a scrapbook page fold-out which I will try to photograph today before she takes it home.

Again, have a fabulous day.

Happy Mothers Day with Stampin Up

4 More sleeps and it is the time to celebrate being a Mother.  I love this job, not all the time but the majority of it I love.  Nothing brings me more joy than my three boys.

Stamping.............now I love that too!  Did I need to tell you that though??  Combining the two is just perfect.  So if your other-half and kiddies need something that you will enjoy for a Mothers Day gift, why not a Gift Certificate.  Give hubby my email address (scrapalley@gmail.com) and I can make him up something like this to give you on Sunday morning:

Inside is a Gift Certificate to the value of his choice.  Then you can browse the catalogue while you eat your breakfast in bed and choose what you are going to spend it on.

Need a gift for YOUR Mum.  Why not get her one too?

Have a fabulous day.

Miss You!!

Card inspired from Splitcoast Stampers

I know I have been really slack lately with blogging some pretty things to look at.  Life has been very hectic and I am loving every minute of it.

This last weekend I travelled down to Canberra for the Stampin' Up Convention and had an absolute blast.  Liz, Georgina and I shared a room at the Novotel and had the best time (including a reeeeeally long breakfast).  The convention included Make & Takes and business talks, along with swaps and presentations.  Including a few from Shelli Gardner, the CEO and Co-Founder for Stampin' Up.  We are really lucky here in Australia because we are so new to Stampin' Up, the attendance at the convention was not too big.  Therefore, Shelli gets to meet and greet the demonstrators and she is so gracious at having her photo taken with us.  She made comment while doing so that in the US she can't do this because they have over 7000 attendees.  I did the groupie thing and had my photo taken with her.  Her story and gentle nature inspire me and I took great joy in meeting her.

I have been totally inspired and look forward to sharing so many more photos of my work with you.  Thanks for stopping by.
