Wanna join the club?

A creative, fun and inspirational club.

Want to meet with a bunch of lovely people every second month for a social night out?

Want to learn new techniques and build up your card stash?

Want to gradually add to your craft tools from the gorgeous new Stampin' Up catalogue?

Well, do I have a proposition for you.  I am running a Stampin' Up stamp club here at my place and I would like to invite you to join.  If you are local and said yes to all (or most) of the questions above, then STAMP CLUB is for you.

How does it work?
There are six members to the Club and we meet every second month over the period of a year.  Each month you are required to spend $50 minimum on Stampin' Up products (before p&h).  This allows for the sales to reach $300 and allows for hostess benefits.  Here's the good part:  once during the year YOU are the hostess (yep, without hosting your own show) and receive a free stamp set plus free product.  You also get to bring along a friend when you are the hostess (and if they purchase product, you get the benefits).

It is a heap of fun and such a nice retreat away from daily life stresses.  If you would like to join or if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at scrapalley@gmail.com

Stamp Club will begin once I have filled all 6 positions, a couple of positions have already been filled so get in quick.

Would love to hear from you.
Bye

Friendly Words

The Friendly Words Stampin' Around Wheel is one of my favourite new products from this years catalogue.  So easy and simple to decorate cards and scrapbooking pages.
On this card I have used a whole stack of tools.  Colour Spritzer, Stampin' Around Wheel, Sponges, Eyelet Border punch, Crop-A-Dile and paper piercer.  Lots of fun to play with tools, I love it.  If you have any questions about these tools or the card above, please do not hesitate to leave a comment or contact me at scrapalley@gmail.com.

Mum's Workshop at Medowie

My gorgeous Mum has a bunch of friends who come to her place every week to learn how to make porcelain dolls.  She teaches them to paint their faces and put their bodies together among whatever else you have to do to create a doll.  She is forever showing them the little booklets I make for her and her handmade cards, having a pigeon chest moment about her 'talented' daughter (apparently she shares that my housework suffers because of it!)  A few friends asked if I could come and teach them how to make cards too.  Could I!!!!????

It snowballed from a couple of ladies into 9 and we had a lovely day that included a yummy lunch made by our host - MUM.  It was quite funny for me to watch her actually.  She decided not to make cards (because that is not her thing) and watch the children.  But I noticed her helping a number of ladies with what to do next and passing tools around for them.  She obviously takes notice of what I do when she watches me.  She is also very talented craft-wise too.

Anyway, here are the cards that we made the other day:

This one uses Upsy Daisy and was inspired by a card I saw on Splitcoast Stampers.  That is a fabulous place for inspiration.
And this one uses the new Birthday Greetings set - On Your Birthday, Pocket Silhouettes and Urban Garden paper.
This one is a favourite thanks to the colours.  New In-Colors Riding Hood Red and Pink Pirouette.  Stamp sets On Your Birthday, Friends 24-7 and Friendly Words wheel.
I had a fabulous time with Mums friends and I hope that we get to do it again.

Thanks for stopping by,
Alex

Heaps to Share

Our launch night was great and I hope our customers had a fabulous time.  We had a room of nearly 40 people experimenting with new Stampin' Up products.  I loved it :)

These were the projects we created:
Cherish Card
Fresh Cuts Stamp Set and Warm Words

Chocolate Bar Wrapper - this is so easy and such a cute treat
Occasional Greeting Stamp Set and Good Morning Sunshine Patterned Paper

Thank you Card
All Scallops Stamp Set and Good Morning Sunshine Patterned Paper

Last night I held an Easter class here at home to create a few gift ideas for the next weekend (you know, when the bunny with the floppy ears comes).  I had a lovely group of crafters who went home with the cutest little boxes that they don't want to hand on to anyone else. LOL!  Oh well, they will have to make some more then.  I am going to be busy tomorrow creating a whole bunch of them to give out to my family.  And of course I have three little boys who would all like one too.
And we made this little pouch for eggs.
And this sweet card with the Oval Punch.

Also this week, I received a bunch of new stamps and papers.  Sigh!!  If only I had more hours in the day to play.   Here I have played with a Simply Scrappin kit (Sweet Nothings) and the Sweet Sticky Cuts with the Fine Supanova glitter (mmmmm, love it!).
And an acetate card using Good Morning Sunshine patterned paper.  I love playing with acetate.  It's a medium that gives your cards a different element and I like that.

Thanks for dropping by.  If you have any questions about any of the Stampin' Up products I have used, please email me at scrapalley@gmail.com.  I am only too happy to help.  I will be sure to share more with you over the next few days.
Bye
Alex

Displays for our Launch

One more sleep until I get to have fun at our Catalogue Launch.  Yipee!

So............because it is tomorrow, I thought I would share some samples I have made.

This is a frame I had from my old gifts and homewares business and the glass had broken in transit.  So it has been sitting in my drawer waiting for some action.
I have used the Always stamp set and the new Three Little Words set on this project.  Colours are Chocolate Chip and Pink Pirouette (be prepared to see that colour ALOT here this year :)

This next project is a cute little acetate box that will be one of the prizes for the night.  Isn't it cute?

This will be one of the projects for next weeks Easter Class (sorry, class is full but if you would like to make one of these keep an eye out for more class coming soon).  They would be great for any occasion.

And lastly, my lolly pot.  Mmmm, picture this filled to overflowing with gorgeous pink & white marshmellows.  Sorry, I really should have done that for the picture shouldn't I?  That is how it will be presented tomorrow night.  Filled to the brim with yummy goodness.

Thanks for stopping by, I will be back to share more really soon.
